XP_MTL presents Holidays Choirs
Downtown choirs to brighten your Saturdays!
One of the most beautiful customs of the festive season, Holiday choirs, will be offered at Village_XP with a reinvented formula. In Downtown Montreal’s urban setting, singers invited by XP_MTL will be there to share the magic and animate cultural spaces on Sainte-Catherine Street!
Choirs on the program :
Sympholies Vocales – Saturday, November 30 : Sympholies vocales is a francophone choir from Montreal’s West Island made up of 40 choristers dedicated to classical music under the direction of Julie Dufresne.
Chœur Ciné-Jazz – Saturday, December 7 & 14 : In addition to joyfully performing Christmas favourites, the Chœur Ciné-Jazz is one of the few Quebec ensembles devoted to the music of movies, musicals, television series, video games as well as jazz.
Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval – Saturday, December 21 : Founded in 1981 and composed of about 125 boys from 8-17, Les Petits Chanteurs de Laval is part of the non-profit organization of three choirs, which represents the largest Quebec choral organization with more than 300 boys and girls aged between 8 and 27. Under the musical and artistic direction of Philippe Ostiguy, the choristers collaborated with some of the greatest artists such as Céline Dion, Marie-Mai, André Gagnon, The Tenors, Benoit Jutras/Franco Dragone (Cirque du Soleil), the Opéra de Montréal, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and many others. Their reputation goes far beyond Quebec’s borders following numerous tours in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
